FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
PUBLIC TOURS
There is plenty of beer provided during the tour. However if you purchase beer at one of the breweries you are more than welcome to bring it on the truck. Remember to drink responsibly.
Unfortunately we have reservations and schedules with the breweries that we have to maintain, so the truck will not wait. You can meet the tour at the first stop at your own expense. You will not be eligible for a refund if you miss part or all the tour. (see terms and conditions)

Our tours are on a first come first serve basis.
We normally provide 4-5 samples at each brewery. The size of the samples vary from brewery to brewery but on average the sample size is 4oz.
PRIVATE TOURS
Yes, Private tours are tailored to your choice of breweries. Hotshots Brewery Tours can plan and make recommendations if you are unsure of which breweries you would like to visit.
We include a variety of pre-selected menu items from several local eateries. Menu items will vary depending on location. Special catering is available for an additional charge.
We normally provide 4-5 samples at each brewery. The size of the samples vary from brewery to brewery but on average the sample size is 4oz.
We offer private tours 7 days a week and can tailor the start time to meet your needs. However the truck is also used for public tours so the further out you book, the more flexible we can be.
We want everyone to enjoy their experience at each brewery and get a chance to indulge in the variety of brews each brewery offers. Typically, tour time spent at each brewery is about one hour.
Terms & Conditions
Our cancellation policy and reschedule policy is as follows:
- Cancellation and/or rescheduling requests must be made in writing to [email protected]
- Customers may request to reschedule a tour of similar or lesser value if the request is made more than 7 days before the date of the original reservation. All requests will be based on availability. Because of scheduling constraints, we offer only one (1) opportunity to request rescheduling a tour. All rescheduled dates must be within 3 months of the original reservation.
- If a customer requests to reschedule a reservation less than 7 days before the date of the tour, it will be considered a cancellation.
ALL cancellations fall under the guidelines below:
- If cancellation is made more than 7 days before the date of the reservation, a customer will be given a voucher for each seat that must be redeemed within 3 months of the original reservation date for a tour of similar or lesser value.
- All vouchers will be valid for one (1) opportunity to reschedule.
- We want to provide the best availability to every thirsty beer enthusiast. To ensure the best availability of tours, we will add a surcharge of $25.00/seat to any cancellation and/or reschedule request received within less than 7 days of the tour date.
- If cancellation and/or reschedule request is made within 72 hrs of the date of the reservation, no refund will be given.
- If you miss or are late to a tour, there are no refunds, sorry but we are running a business after all. A customer can meet the tour at any stop at his/her expense. If he/she misses the beginning of the tour and meets whilst a tour is in progress, we don’t offer partial refunds.
- We know you love beer, so do we. But our business is to educate people about beer and offer customers a safe and enjoyable environment in which to sample the awesome beers throughout San Diego. So, if a customer arrives for the tour intoxicated (as determined by the driver/guide) he/she will be denied participation in the tour without refund. Hotshots Brewery Tour guide/driver will determine what is considered intoxicated at his/her discretion.
- If a customer enjoys the beer a little too much whilst on the tour, also known as overly-intoxicated, unruly, profane, or generally disruptive , he/she may be asked off the tour without a refund.
- If a customer is asked off the tour, he/she will be responsible for any costs incurred to get to their destination of drop off. Hotshots Brewery Tour guide/driver will determine what is considered unruly or intoxicated at his/her discretion.
- If a customer becomes over-intoxicated or unruly and is asked to leave by brewery staff, he/she will not be allowed back into the brewery and no refund will be given. Additionally, the customer may not be allowed back on the bus and will have to arrange transportation to their drop off location at his/her own expense.
- Please do not attempt to drive after participating in any Brewery Tour offered by Hotshots Brewery Tours. Hotshots Brewery Tours does not guarantee parking at any of its pickup locations and is not responsible for any damage, theft, tickets, or towing which resulted from parking at or near the pickup location.
- All participants must be of legal drinking age in the state of California (21). IDs will be checked prior to beginning the tour. You must have your Identification on you at all times while on the tour. Brewery staff may ask to see your ID at any time.
